MY TAMAGOTCHIS
I've been collecting Tamagotchis and other Vpets for a few years & I wanted to catalogue my collection here!! For now, I'm sourcing images of the models I own from TamaShell or store listings.
Maybe I'll eventually get to taking photos of my actual collection and posting those here, but that's a herculean task considering the tamagotchi items are MANY and spread all over my house.

Gen 1, 2 & 3
These are the OGs, and I have a lot of love for them... HOWEVER, I can't run them with the sound ON without my wife murdering me, and I can't keep them alive with the sound OFF...
I basically never run these ever. I've tried a few times to get a Potchitchi on a Gen2 and failed HORRIBLY.
I can't see me getting another one of these unless the DevilGotchi or SantaClautchi get a rerelease.
Minis & Nanos
The Gudetama nano from 2017 is fully to blame for my current Tamagotchi collection. I came acrosss it at Target and immediately grabbed it.
I really like the gameplay of these - they have fun animations, tons of possible evolutions & are really hard to kill! I don't run nanos super often but I do like getting collab nanos from franchises I like!
The Minis aren't quite as fun, but they do make for cute accessories. Also there's a few flocked shells and I fuck with flocked toys HEAVY...
Connections
I was SO HAPPY when these got their rerelease in 2024. I had already purchased 2 japanese ones, but one has sticky buttons that make things a bit difficult and my VERY DEAR VERY BELOVED Akai does have visibility issues. Those red pixels bring me so much joy, but they ARE so hard to see...
My Connections 2024 are some of my favorites to run, and it's hard to find me on a tamagotchi kick without having one of these in my pocket.
On, Pix & Smart
My best friend got me my Tamagotchi On for christmas in 2021 (I think) & that's what REALLY got the collecting going. After playing with it a ton, I found a Pix Party at Target & was very pleasantly surprised by it.
I ordered my Smart secondhand from Japan together with several SmaCards, inclunding the OnePiece one in honor of my wife. She now has a Chopper Milktchi Tattoo!!
Oh, fun fact about my On. During the Christmas I got it, the app was still alive so I immediately married my first adult to Santa. I then spent several generations breeding out Santa's ugly genes
Uni & Paradise
The Tamagotchi Uni is my all-time Favorite Tamagotchi model. I got my wife and our besties some, including the bestie who got me the On, and we all ran them at the same time. Updating each other on our tamas' progress was such a fun time!! I've run my unis a lot, including another long run with my wife where she had the Angel Festival and I had the Monster Carnival!!
I love the personalities, I love how much you get to dress up your tamas, I love all the online features, I love how the tamas have animal crossing voices... Add Mix/On genetics to the mix and this is my dream perfect tama device for sure!!
Me and my wife each got a Paradise on release, and had quite a lot of fun with those too, but I missed a lot of the customization and the more personal cozy feel of the Uni. I was ultimately disappointed by the implementation of genetics on the Paradise.. There isn't much trait mixing beyond swapping the colors of the basic tamagotchi species.
Other Vpets
These are the two Gigapets I HAD to get (the Sasquatch & the Pixie) and a Digimon I got from a White Elephant exchange!
I was very surprised at how much fun I had running the Digimon! I've only run the Gigapets Sasquatch, & eventually lost interest once I realized they don't die. I need that fear of death in me, you know?
